Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-07-07

Quotes

Quotes are prepared from the drawings, quantities, and information you supply. A quote is valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless it states otherwise. Material price changes beyond our control may require a re-quote after that window. Verbal ballparks are estimates, not binding prices.

Drawings and revisions

The drawing supplied with your order is the reference for the work. Parts are made to that drawing and revision. If you revise the drawing after ordering, tell us immediately; work already performed to the previous revision may be chargeable. Where a drawing is ambiguous or contains conflicting callouts, we will ask for clarification before proceeding rather than guessing.

Customer property

Drawings, CAD files, and sample parts you provide remain your property and are used only to quote and produce your parts. Programs, toolpaths, and process documentation we create to machine your parts remain ours unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Hours of operation

Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 6pm. Closed weekends.

Payment terms

Payment terms are stated on the quote or invoice. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due on the terms shown on the invoice.

Delivery and shipping

Lead times are confirmed with each quote and are our best good-faith commitment, subject to material availability and events outside our control. Orders can be picked up at the shop during business hours, or shipped at your cost via the method agreed on the order. Risk in shipped goods passes to the carrier on dispatch unless agreed otherwise.

Inspection and claims

Parts are checked against the drawing before they leave the shop. Inspect your order on receipt and report any nonconformance promptly. If a part we made does not match the drawing and revision supplied with the order, we will remake or correct it. We are not responsible for issues caused by errors in the supplied drawing, or for parts that match the drawing but do not perform as you intended.

Limitation of liability

Our liability on any order is limited to the price paid for the nonconforming parts. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including production downtime or costs of assemblies our parts are built into.

Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled before work begins at no charge. Once material is purchased or machining has started, cancellation charges reflect the work and material committed to that point.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario.
